The story behind the work
For Dr. Robert Jennings, it started with sports and a fascination with the science behind human performance. At the University of Central Florida, he walked on to the football team while studying exercise science and human performance. On the field and in the classroom, he became increasingly interested in how the body moves, adapts and recovers.
His interest in the nervous system took on a deeper meaning when his grandmother developed Alzheimer’s disease. That family experience helped draw him toward neurology and a desire to better understand how neurological conditions affect people and those who care for them. Human performance became more than an athletic interest—it became a way to think about the abilities that matter in everyday life.
After earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, he continued his postgraduate neurology training. He has performed thousands of electrodiagnostic studies. At Florida EMG, he brings that experience to EMG and nerve conduction testing with same-day reports.
His work also extends beyond the exam room. Through his book, Over the Hump, and online educational programs, Dr. Jennings helps people make sense of posture, movement and neurological health.
